Intensive community intevention provides focused support and assistance to families with children and adolescents who are experiencing behavioral difficulties at home and school. Community Intervention Sepcialists (Case Managers) work in both settings to help the child develop better adaptive and coping skills. They also coordinate services between community agencies serving the family.

Therapeutic Foster Care provides supportive foster homes for emotionally and behaviorally disturbed children and adolescents. TFC families participate in on-going specialized training in order to offer a licensed placement home. They work closely with Mid-South Health Systems children’s services, schools, and the Department of Child and Family Services. Referrals to this program are made through DCFS.

The need for medication is sometimes indicated in a child’s mental health treatment. When this occurs, therapists arrange for the child to be seen by a child psychiatrist. They can evaluate the child’s need and, if appropriate, prescribe medication and a course of treatment.

Our staff psychiatrists, psychologists, and psychological examiners provide comprehensive evaluations and testing when requested by other professionals, agencies and the courts.
